One Heart and One Mind: Neil Watson
Acts Chapter 4 v 32-37
In his last message as Probationary Minister at GPC, Neil follows on from last week's theme of having a listening heart to consider what it would look like to have a communtiy that were collectively listening hearts.
All the believers were united in heart and mind. And they felt that what they owned was not their own, so they shared everything they had.
Neil's ordination and induction as minister at Belhaven Parish Church will be on Thursday 5 October at 7pm.

Having a Listening Heart, Neil Watson.
1 Kings Chapter 3 v 1-15
This morning, Neil Watson takes us through one of his favourite bible passages, found in the first book of Kings. In this passage, the young king, Solomon, asks God for wisdom .
“Now, O Lord my God, you have made me king instead of my father, David, but I am like a little child who doesn’t know his way around. And here I am in the midst of your own chosen people, a nation so great and numerous they cannot be counted! Give me an understanding heart so that I can govern your people well and know the difference between right and wrong. For who by himself is able to govern this great people of yours?”

Choose Love, Neil Watson
Romans Chapter 14 v 7-12
Continuing in Romans Chapter 14, Paul develops his arguement to chose love and not pass judgement on one another.
Trust steadily in God, hope unswervingly, love extravagantly. And the best of the three is love.

Standing Out: Following the Jesus Model
Neil Watson
A brief look at Romans 12 v14-21 for this Sunday's all age service.
What’s more, don’t let yourselves be squeezed into the shape dictated by the present age. Instead, be transformed by the renewing of your minds, so that you can work out what God’s will is, what is good, acceptable and complete.

We are Chosen; with Great Status Comes Great Responsibility
Neil Watson
Romans Chapter 9 v 1-13
We continue to delve into Paul's letter to the church in Rome as Neil expands on the theme of being chosen by God
I’ll call nobodies and make them somebodies; I’ll call the unloved and make them beloved. In the place where they yelled out, “You’re nobody!” they’re calling you “God’s living children.”

Neil Watson

For the 6 weeks through Lent we are focusing on Romans Chapter 8. Today's message, for Palm Sunday, is presented by Neil Watson.

The Epistles
The seventh part of our teaching series, Bible 101, taking a journey through the Bible from Genesis to Revelation. Tonight's session is lead by Neil Watson.
At the end of each session there are a number of questions for discussion and these are reproduced below:
- Is Church unity an issue for the Church today?
- Do you think Christians in Scotland might one day face the kind of persecution many Christians face in other parts of the world today?
- Do you think that the letters we find in the New Testament are relevant to us today? If so, in what way?

David, Solomon and the Temple: 1 Samuel 8-10, 2 Samuel 2 and 11, 1 Kings 6
The fourth part of our teaching series, Bible 101, taking a journey through the Bible from Genesis to Revelation. Tonight's session is lead by Neil Watson.
At the end of each session there are a number of questions for discussion and these are reproduced below:
1.What can we learn about Saul’s experience of letting jealousy get in the way of leading our people and ourselves well? What things get in our way of treating people the way God wants us to?
2.How do we feel about situations like David’s desire to build a permanent Temple, where we have a strong desire to see something become a reality but never do? (We plant seeds but might never reap the harvest!)
3.Each of the kings started well, had great tools at their disposal, but ultimately fell short. How do we not only start well but continue to remain faithful in our pursuit of becoming more like Jesus every day?
