Mark Nicholas

Romans Chapter 13 v 8-14

Continuing in Chapter 13 of Paul's letter to the church in Rome, and the theme of being a good citizen.

But make sure that you don’t get so absorbed and exhausted in taking care of all your day-by-day obligations that you lose track of the time and doze off, oblivious to God. The night is about over, dawn is about to break. Be up and awake to what God is doing! God is putting the finishing touches on the salvation work he began when we first believed.

Being a Good Citizen; Mark Nicholas

Romans Chapter 13 v1-7

Whatever we think of our politicians, chances are we have a better time than the early Christiansin who made up the the church in Rome, under the reign of the Emperer Nero. In his letter to the early Roman christians, Paul offers some teaching on what it means to be a good citizen.

‘Well then,’ said Jesus, ‘give Caesar back what belongs to Caesar – and give God back what belongs to God!’
